About The Cafe

A cafe is simply the most wonderful place you can go.

You can slip in for a coffee, indulge in afternoon tea or spend a couple of hours over a leisurely lunch.  You can visit on your own with a good book, catch up on the gossip with a friend or get involved in a heated discussion as part of a group.

The World and his Wife wander through a cafe at one time or another and you can be there to meet them.

Because of its proximity to a large university, this cafe plays host to a lot of academically minded people, but being near to Stratford there are theatrically inclined visitors as well.  Several groups meet here on a monthly basis.  There are two book groups, two Shakespeare groups, two very different history groups and a music appreciation group.

As well as being able to listen in on the cafe's regular patrons, being around the place means that you also get to eavesdrop on random thoughts from those customers who are just passing through.  Eavesdroppings are wonderful starting points for conversations and even if time and distance means you have to make your own pot of tea, you will be welcome to take as long a break as you want and join in.
